RAZE COACHING PHILOSOPHY

MOTIVATORS, EDUCATORS, MENTORS
.

We believe that a great volleyball club can take any individual and tap into their innate abilities to inspire them to advance and become leaders on and off the court. Through creative inspiration combined with quality coaching, our teams will have the ability to extend beyond just success on the volleyball court. Empowering each team member to redefine success will allow them to gain skills to rise above challenges.

We believe in the S.O.A.R. acronym to inspire individuals to challenge themselves.

S=Skills; it is important to work hard to develop skills that allow you the greatest chance to succeed. Therefore, we will continue to teach fundamentals by repeating skills and correcting basic movements to improve players’ abilities and avoid injuries.

O=Opportunity; each team member will have the opportunity to succeed and develop. As the definition of opportunity indicates, the Club will provide a set of circumstances through training and competition that will make it possible to be the best they can be. We say, “Seize the Opportunities.”

A=Attitude; our culture will support the quote, “Don’t let your attitude negatively affect your altitude.” Our desire for each team is for them to understand they are stronger together but still need individual accountability and support of team vision to be a team player.

R=Respect; coaches, players, and parents need to respect each other. The relationship between the coach and the player will render a development plan that will adhere to the player’s desires and commitment to development. No matter what each team member’s skill level, disrespect will not be tolerated. We encourage a culture that emphasizes the mindset of the players buying into “Let’s do what we need to help each other to make a better team.”
